The upcoming US election has been predicated on two major issues: the Iraq War and the dissipation of American power and influence over the past seven years. The recent assassination of Benazir Bhutto has apparently escalated this issue back to the top of the Primary Elections agenda including the various world entanglements the US has managed to muddle into under George W Bush. But the December 24th 2007 issue of Business Week (Numbers on page 14) recalls the campaign words of 15 years ago “Its the Economy Stupid”. Take a look at the article and see if you don’t agree.
