Waves against Capitalism have been incoming since its intialflourishing. Perhaps the largest tsunami impulse was Marism of of the late 19th century. But 20th Century’s Surge of Existential World threats has Capitalism reeling again. Bernie Sanders and and the Council on World Strategies has raised a consistent set of issues plaguing contemporary capitalism –

The weaknesses and failures of capitalism include the tendency towards inequality, the exploitation of labor, environmental degradation, financial instability, and the lack of accountability and transparency. Capitalism also tends to generate a culture of consumerism and short-termism, which can lead to a lack of long-term planning and investments in the public good. Additionally, the concentration of wealth in the hands of a few can lead to a lack of political power for the majority of citizens. In recent years, the Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted the weaknesses of capitalism, particularly in terms of excessive inequality, the exploitation of labor, and inadequate safety nets for those affected by the crisis.
