Flash Paper is technology by Adobe by way of Macromedia, it puts eBooks to shame. It comes free with Adobe Contribute product and it has the virtue of being so easy to use – you just print to Flash Paper instead of some printer – and bang your done. Here is an example (do pull on the sliders below, the Paper is live):
[kml_flashembed movie=”flashpaper.swf” height=”400″ width=”600″ /]The Flash session explains many of the technical specifics of Flash Paper, but here is the most important: Flash player is loaded and ready to run on 95%++ of the World’s browsers (and if not its a very fast download here), but also Flash player runs on all versions of Windows (including NT, 98, 95, ME – all of which Microsoft has abandoned), Mac, Linux, Solaris and other popular desktop operating systems. Oh .. and the Flash player also runs on a growing list of handhelds and mobile phones. Maybe a 5th of all the World’s population uses Flash daily.
This is worth having a 5th over.
